"You aperantly are , Eadric," Lexi joined in. "Yes, and you are, Lexi," Eadric replied. Lexi was wondering how he knew her name. "Eadric is a mind reader." Marley explianed to her. "Oh, okay I had thought he was a creeper or something." She told them. "Maybe, I should show you around the city, Lexi," Alex budged in. "She does not care but, what she wants to know why I'm here if I am not a soul or hunter," replied Eadric. "Wow, okay what color am I thinking of?" Lexi was amzed. "Typical, purple and black," Eadric was having fun with, Lexi. "Maybe," she replied with astonishment. "Um, Alex why don't you take her out shopping for clothes. The party is tonight." Marley said firecly. "Great idea!" Alex said immedieatly. "What party!" yelled Lexi. As Alex and I were walking down to the store I remmembered Trace. I missed him so much. Then I noticed a guy come running toward us. "Hi, Ray," Alex greeted. "Sup," he murmured. "You ready for the partty?" asked Ray. "What party and who are you?" I was so stressed. "I'm Rayhem but, people call me Ray and The party is for winners," commented Ray. "Who were the other three?" I asked him. He began, "Um, Lexi Collum, Rex Hunter, and Madison Realanty." Lexi snapped, "That's me!" Alex was shocked she couldn't speak at the moment. She grabbed my wrist and started running. We were now at the store. "I can't believe this. I mean ... you. How is it you?" Alexx stammered. "What's wrong with me? I-I know I just found out I was even a soul hunter. Now this," I returned. "I wont do it. Alex you can take my place. I mean it!" Alex was suprised, "That would be breaking the rules and this is to much for me to take on!" Lexi turned and looked at her, "Why? I thought -" Alex cut her off, "You thought I was a soul hunter. I'm really a...a..." she paused, "a dragon." Lexi screamed, "A DRAGON!" Alex started to change. All of a sudden, a big, black, dragon was infront of her. "Does everyone know this?" Lexi questioned. Alex didn't answer back. We continued to shop. It was now time for the party and we were all very excited! Lexi was wearing a purple, short dress with a black bow on her back. Alex was wearing a long, wavy, turquoise dress. Marley had a formal pink, pretty, dress on. Eadric had on a nice, formal, tuxcidoe. when they arrived the first thing Lexi wanted was Trace. I really wish he was here, Lexi thought to herself. The host was Rayhem. "Hey Marley, look who's here and the host." Alex was harrasing her cousin. "Wow, Alex just go talk to him. Ask him to dance!" Marley and Alex were going back and forth. Finally, "What's the big deal. Alex do what your cousin said and Marley go freakin hang with your guy!" Lexi broke the argueing. "I can't." Alex whispered. "What?" Lexi said strictly. Alex whispered some more, "I said I can't. I don't know how." Lexi's jaw dropped, "It is soooo easy. First, you get a conversation going. Then, BABAM!" Alex jumped, "Okay."

Lexi was at the Circle training when Alex walked in."Let's go. We have to hurry, no time to explain." Alex grabbed all my stuff."But-" As Alex pulled me quickly I couldn't say anymore. Lexi and Alex were now in a new city."This is called the Soul City. It's where all the soul and soul hunters live." Alex explained, as she always did with everything. I wondered if she didn't like questions?"Wait, how am I a soul hunter if no one else is in my family?" Lexi asked."Um, you'll have to ask Eric about that one. Where is that guy anyway?" Alex said with a smirk on her face. As we walked through the city we ended up at this small house. It was one story high."This is my cousins house. Her name is Marley and she is 18. She has a boyfriend that visits quite often." Alex explained some more."One more question why are we even here?" Lexi wondered."Because the water is rising and it will be there for a year. This is the time when the four soul hunters get picked. By the end of this month they will all be picked." Alex told me. As the door opened we walked in."Hello, please come in," Marley aquianted them. We all sat down on the couch."Tea and sandwhiches anyone?" As Marley got some I started reading the news paper. When Marley brang some tea and sandwhiches,"My name is Marley nice to meet you." I looked up, "Lexi and hi." She sat down right infront of me. Marley's home was very nice. It had a living room with two couches facing eachother, a rug in the middle, and a coffe table. There was a t.v right infront of all that. Marley was watching t.v and listening to the first chosen name. "Hello, I am Devon your host and the first name is Luke Halen!" The t.v was on now."Who is he?" Alex asked. "Um I think he went to our school," Marley murmered. "It is an honor to do this. I want to thank my coach, my family and friends for supporting me." The guy said on t.v said. "Is that what people always say now when something big happens? I mean seriously." Lexi stated. "Who knows," Alex remarked. "And we will be back right after this break," The host on t.v said. Marley turned on the combat channel. It's where a bunch of soul hunters compete. "I'm here," Marley's boyfriend Eadric said."Hello, Eadric," Marley replied.

Training Begins 4

"So where do you actually Train on the island?" I was so excited. Alex replied, "We train in the Circle. It's where we practice capturing and fighting the Dark Shadows. They aren't real though." Lexi stood there in relief. They started to walk to the Circle. As they approached the Circle. Lexi's heart started to beat rapidly. It's almost what she has dreamed of. Suddenly Lexi dropped to the ground. "Great another fainter." Alex stated. She ran to Eric. A tall blondy, with bangs and wore a t- shirt and some jeans. "Another one," Eric walked towards Lexi and picked her up. When I woke up I was laying in the grass. "Hi I'm Eric and I will be helping you train here," Eric told me as he helped me up. "I'm Lexi and when do I get to go home I have a date tonight." I asked as I got up and asked where Alex is. "She is out getting some other Soul Hunter." Eric replied, " You get to go when your done exploring here or taking a tour." He told me everything on the tour. Then we came upon somthing so beautiful. "That you may not want to touch," Eric warned me as I reached out for it. He explianed to me that it was a crystal of the 5. It represents beauty. "We have not yet found the other four. That is why they get certian types of Soul Hunters and train them to be the best and get the other four crystals." As we finished the tour Eric sent me home and was glad to see me. When I got home I got ready for my date. Then I heard his car out front. Trace's mom was driving us. Since Trace does not yet have drivers license. We went to the bowling center. It was very fun.

Where They Will Train 3

It became morning and Lexi was awakened by th sound of Alex going through her stuff."Shh you'll wake Alice up!" Lexi interrupted her while she was looking at her books."Sorry, but what is the Mortal Instruments about?" Alex was curious. Lexi replied, "It's about a girl name Clary Fray. Who finds out a lot more than she knew about her family and friends." Alex had a smile on her face."Shall we," alex turned towards me."Shall we what?" I curiously asked."Shall we go to triang grounds," Alex took my wrist and pulled Lexi out of bed. She didn't even let her change."Well let's go. Don't want to be late on your first day." Alex rushed me as we walked into my backyard."Why are we in my backyard," I wondered." Becuase I need to open the portal," Alex replied instantly. Alex opened it with a wierd looking shard. She pulled us inside the portal and as she dragged me through I saw a whole other city." This is the Lost City of Atlantas. We like to train here because it is very peaceful." Alex explianed. Lexi was so suprised that she was actually at the Lost City of Atlantas."So you actually train here!" Lexi said in a happy voice."Yes," Alex started to explian some more, " we train many kids here, just like you. But rememner this is no place to wander. It is a big crazy jungle. You are only here to train." Lexi was already begining to like being a soul hunter.

Wolves are among the most misunderstood of wild predators. They are not at all aggressive towards humans. There is not one substantiated case in North America of a wild wolf ever attacking a human. Wolves are very social, with tight bonds between members of their pack. Other females in a pack will often tend to cubs while the mother goes hunting. Members of a wolf pack will show great affection towards one another.

I was blessed for thirteen years to share time and space with a Canadian timber wolf named Cleo. She died September 28, 2002. She was a kind and gentle companion. I got her when she was 5 weeks old and raised her much as an adult wolf would raise a pup. She was never asked to do anything other than be a wolf. I never attempted to train her in any way in the normal meaning of the word. Yet, she would do so many things to please me and conform to my lifestyle that I was constantly amazed at her sensitivity and desire to accommodate me.

We would lie down watching television for hours, her body next to mine and her loving amber eyes watching me for assurance that she wasn't doing anything to upset me. Although a wolf's bite is a bone-crushing 1500 pounds per square inch, twice that of a German shepherd for instance, she was so gentle with me that I can't recall her ever breaking my skin when she was playfully mouthing me.

While I would never allow young children to be in proximity to any wild animal, Cleo was quite safe to be in the company of friends of mine, under careful supervision. If she didn't feel comfortable around a stranger--which happened about half the time--she would simply stay a reasonable distance from that person. Wolves are actually rather shy animals, always preferring to avoid a conflict.

A wolf's intelligence level is quite a bit higher than that of a dog. Once Cleo met someone that she liked, that person could come to my house years later and Cleo would remember them immediately, rushing up and putting her paws on their shoulders and showering them with licks. While I frequently had to tell friends that mouth-licking is how members of a wolf pack greet one another, needless to say some of my friends never quite wanted to become that much like a wolf.

Cleo had a playmate when she first arrived; a very large male German shepherd named Caesar. Caesar became very ill about four years later and had to stay in my bedroom for several months until he ultimately died. Before taking him for burial, I brought Cleo up to see him one last time. She sniffed him, looked at him, then sat back and commenced to make long, soulful howls unlike anything I have heard from her before or since that day.

Here are some of the characteristics of wolves:

There are three species of wolves in the world: the gray wolf (Canis lupus), the red wolf (Canis rufus) and the Ethiopian (or Abyssinian) wolf, (Canis simensis). Some researchers believe the Ethiopian wolf is not a wolf, but actually a jackal.

The gray wolf, Canis lupus, lives in the northern latitudes around the world. There are five subspecies of the gray wolf in North America and seven to 12 in Eurasia.

All living wolves are considered a single species, with the exception of the red wolf of southeastern Texas and southern Louisiana. The gray wolf is the largest of the wild dog family. There are 32 recognized subspecies of gray wolf. They get up to about 175 pounds, and the most common color is grizzled gray.

Subspecies are often difficult to distinguish from one another. This is because they interbreed where their ranges overlap so that their populations tend to blend together rather than form distinctive boundaries. The different traits we see in subspecies are likely the result of geographic range, available habitat, and prey base. Skull dimensions, overall size, fur color, and the length of appendages are some of the characteristics that differ between subspecies of gray wolf.

Members form strong social bonds that promote internal cohesion. Order is maintained by a dominance hierarchy. When two wolves meet, each shows its relationship to the other by indicating dominance or submission through facial expression and posture. Other modes of wolf communication that we know are howling, other vocalizations, and scent marking. One of the functions of howling is to communicate position or assemble the pack; advertisement of territory to neighboring wolves is another. Scent marking is done by depositing urine or feces on objects along travel routes, particularly at the edge of the packs' territory. This appears to functions as territory boundary marking and intrapack communication. Usually only the highest ranking male and female within a pack will breed. Other female members of the pack act as aunts, frequently caring for the pups throughout their childhood.

Wolves usually live in packs which consist of the adult parents, referred to as the alpha pair, and their offspring of perhaps the last 2 or 3 years. The adult parents are usually unrelated and other unrelated wolves may sometimes join the pack.

Pack size is highly variable because of birth of pups, dispersal, and mortality. Generally, a gray wolf pack has from six to eight wolves, but in Alaska and northwestern Canada some packs have over 30 members.

Red wolf packs are generally smaller than gray wolf packs and usually have 2 to 8 members, but a pack of 12 is known in the wild.

Territory size is highly variable. Gray wolf territories in Minnesota range from about 25 to 150 square miles, while territories in Alaska and Canada can range from about 300 to 1,000 square miles.

Red wolf territories can be from 10 to 100 square miles, but the territories of red wolves reintroduced into North Carolina have been 38 to 87 square miles.

Wolves breed at slightly different times, depending on where they live. For example, gray wolves in the Great Lakes Region breed in February to March, while gray wolves in the Arctic may breed slightly later in March to April.

Red wolves usually breed in January or February.

The gestation period of gray and red wolves is usually around 63 days.

A pack normally has only one litter of pups each spring, but in areas of high prey abundance more than one female will give birth in each pack. An average litter size for gray and red wolves is 4 to 6, but several may die if natural prey is not readily available.

Gray wolf pups weigh 1 pound at birth, while red wolf pups weigh less than a pound at birth.

Adult female gray wolves in northern Minnesota weigh between 50 and 85 pounds, and adult males between 70 and 110 pounds. Gray wolves are larger in the northwestern United States, Canada, and Alaska where adult males weigh 85 to 115 pounds and occasionally reach 130 pounds.

Adult female red wolves weigh 40 to 75 pounds, while males weigh from 50 to 85 pounds.

The average length (tip of nose to tip of tail) of an adult female gray wolf is 4.5 to 6 feet; adult males average 5 to 6.5 feet. The average height (at the shoulder) of a gray wolf is 26 to 32 inches.

The average length (tip of nose to tip of tail) of an adult red wolf is 4.5 to 5.5 feet. The average height (at the shoulder) of an adult red wolf is about 26 inches.

The size of a wolf's track is dependent on the age and size of the wolf, as well as the substrate the track was made in. A good size estimate for a gray wolf's track size is 4 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide. In comparison, a coyote's track will be closer to 2 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Only a few breeds of dogs leave tracks longer than 4 inches (Great Danes, St. Bernards, and some bloodhounds).

Adult gray and red wolves have 42 teeth, while adult humans have 32.

The massive molars and powerful jaws of a wolf are used to crush the bones of its prey. The biting capacity of a wolf is 1,500 pounds of pressure per square inch. The strength of a wolf's jaws makes it possible to bite through a moose femur in six to eight bites. In comparison, a German shepherd has a biting pressure of 750 pounds per square inch. A human has a much lower biting pressure of 300 pounds per square inch.

Gray wolves prey primarily on large, hoofed mammals such as white-tailed deer, mule deer, moose, elk, caribou, bison, Dall sheep, musk oxen, and mountain goat. Medium sized mammals, such as beaver and snowshoe hare, can be an important secondary food source. Occasional wolves will prey on birds or small mammals.

Red wolves primarily prey on white-tailed deer, raccoons, rabbits and rodents.

Gray wolves can survive on about 2 1/2 pounds of food per wolf per day, but they require about 5 pounds per wolf per day to reproduce successfully. The most a gray wolf can eat in one sitting is about 22.5 pounds.

Red wolves eat an average of 5 pounds of food per day, but have been known to eat up to 12 pounds in one sitting.

In Minnesota, wolves kill the average equivalent of 15 to 20 adult-sized deer per wolf per year. Given the 1997-98 estimate of 2,450 wolves in Minnesota, that would equal about 36,750 to 49,000 deer killed by wolves. In comparison, from 1995-1999 hunters killed between 32,300 to 78,200 deer each year in Minnesota's wolf range. In addition, several thousand deer are killed during collisions with vehicles each year.

Gray wolves in the wild have an average life span of 6 to 8 years, but have been known to live up to 13 years in the wild and 16 years in captivity. Red wolves in the wild have an average life span of 8 to 9 years, but have been known to live up to 12 years in the wild and 16 years in captivity.

The natural causes of wolf mortality are primarily starvation, which kills mostly pups, and death from other wolves because of territory fights. While not usually a big problem, disease such as mange and canine parvovirus can be a concern in small and recovering populations. Injuries caused by prey results in some deaths. Human-caused mortality including legal, illegal, and accidental causes, can be high in some populations. Pup mortality rates are highly variable, but approximately 40 to 60% of wolf pups die each year.

Wolves will travel for long distances by trotting at about five miles per hour. They can run at speeds of 25 to 35 miles per hour for short bursts while chasing prey.

Wolves may travel 10 to 30 miles each day in search of food. Dispersing wolves, those leaving packs in search of their own mate, have been known to travel distances of 550 miles away form their home territory.

Meeting the Trainer 2

Lexi was at home, trying to relax. But, her little sister Alice kept running around and making wierd noises."Alice, stop running around and making wierd noises," Lexi yelled. Alice then started crying."C'mon don't start crying," whinned Lexi. She is only 5 yrs. old and has her own crazy style. Lexi walked outside to call Trace. All, of a sudden this big, purple, swirling portal was right infront of her."Ahh, what is that," she screamed, in terror. A teenage girl with red straight hair and was wearing a black cloke with a black wavy dress, stepped out."Shh, stop screaming it hurts my ears," the girl said. Lexi asked curiously,"Who are you and what are you doing here?" As Lexi tried to walk away slowly the girl answered,"My name is Alex and I'm your trianer." Now, Lexi just stood there frightened and confused."Ok, so you are my trainer," she managed to say,"wait how are you my trainer and what are you traing me for?" Alex explianed that she was chosen to go on this task by the masters and that Lexi is a soul hunter."Wait, so you are training me to become a soul hunter," Lexi was repeating trying to get it all trough her head."Yes," Alex said enthusiastically,"can you think any faster, the sooner we start the better!" Lexi announced," Hey, who said I ever wanted to be a soul hunter!" Alice walked out and intterupted,"sisy what are you doing Mommy told us not to talk to strangers." Lexi replied," go back inside and you Alex or whatever go back to where you came from!"

The Hang Out 1

               I thought that I would start a book on my blog and I think it is good so far. ENJOY! :)   
"My hearts a stereo," Lexi was listening, to on her headphones. Lexi was walking to Trace's house so, they could hang. Lexi is a girl with long strawberry-blonde hair and dresses goth, but she know's that she isn't a single bit goth. Trace is a boy with short brown hair and dressed like a normal teenage boy. Lexi and trace have been dating for a month now and this would be just a reagular hang out. Lexi finally got to Trace's house. She turned the music off and rang the doorbell. " Oh, hey Lexi," Trace answered, "Come on in." She walked to his living room couch and sat down. Lexi is 14 yrs old and Trace is 15. Trace and lexi first met at the nieghborhood park. " So, what's up," Lexi wondered. " Oh, nothing much do you want something to eat?" She answered back, " No, not right now." Ding-dong... " Who's that?" Lexi gestured towards the door. " I don't know probably a friend or someone," Trace walked to the door. He thought, oh man I totally forgot the dudes were coming today! He opened the door," Hey, man were's the rest?" Lexi was walking towards them. " Oh man, nice lady, Frank said as he pushed his way in. Frank is kind of a punk looken dude, but he is really dumb. " Hey lady, what's your name," Frank asked as he grabbed her on the sides and tried to pull her in closer. "Frank!" A voice came from the background. It was Trace, " hands off the lady!" Lexi ripped away and walked towards Trace. " My name's Lexi and yours?" Lexi asked as she hugged Trace. " I'm Frank nice to meet you, Lexi," Frank walked towards the living room. " Why is he here?" Lexi gestured, away to look him in the eyes. " I forgot you were coming so, I invited him to hang," Trace explained. Lexi turned and walked towards the kicthen. Trace went to the living room and got a video game so, he and Frank could play for a bit. Lexi was disgusted. " How do you play that stuff," Lexi asked digustedly. "Hey, lexi come on over," Frank demanded. she just stood there for about 5 more minutes. Lexi moved to the couch to get her phone and text Skylar her girlfriend. " So, when do you think about leaving, Frank," Lexi asked in curiosily. " I don't know and I don't care," Frank annouced while consentrating on the game. " Good, how 'bout now," she demanded with an annoyed face.

Who ever has heard of warriors the cat series say I. Who ever has read a book say I. Who ever has never heard of them IS INSANE!!! Say I.  I for the first 2. I have heard and read one of the books. Thew are pretty good books. I mean who would like to read about savage cats! ME!!! I really think they are savage. I mean they live in the wild, they fight each other, and hunt little animals. So, they are SAVAGE CATS!!! People you got to read these books. JUST DO IT! Then you will realise how good they are.

Hey, so yesterday I was sick so I had to stay home from school. I went to school today and i found out I can miss a lot of stuff! I mean seriously. I didn't even know that much stuff happens in a day! It's been so slow in the past 2 weeks. So, ya thats all I got right now.

Ok I am just telling you about what happened today. So me and my friends had a going away party for my friend nikki. After the party a couple of girls stayed for a sleepover (this was yesterday).  Then we went to taco bell. The most best place for tacos! After that we went to her house. Of course we stayed up for a while. But, after a while we fell asleep. Then today we went swimming and stuff and after everyone left I was the only one. So Nikki decided to do my hair. She started to curl it. We really didn't know when my mom was coming so she kept curling. Then DING-DONG! Oh man, she only had half my hair done! So she said just don't go anywhere when you leave. I said ok. Then I got ihto my car, so were driving and of course my mom has to go to fresh & easy. I'm like really do you see my hair! Then I was like can I stay in the car. She said that she wouldn't be long. So, after about ten minutes she came and I'm like can you hurry so we can get home. So, we went home and kept my hair the same and about 20 min later my friends come. One was luaghing and one said are you going crazy and I'm like no long story. They are like ok. So I stayed home working on my homework. That's a good taste of my weekends! : )

It's back to school and so far it's been fun. I get to see and make friends! So,it's great. I met a girl named Jaden and has a blog called yourtellingmetobebrave.wordpress.com so if you go to that sight yiur  on her blog. thanks. 

 This reminds me of my little sis. She always like to dress up and have fun.

My Trip This Summer

Okay so i had to go on this trip this summer and it was fun. But we had to drive. So we visted so many different states. I was excited to see the different lands. Ya so we went to mount rushmore and it was really cool. We also went to a place called the blacklands and no the land was not black. So it was pretty cool! :)
